The Gold Cup

Currently the United States Men's National Team is competing in a tournament for the Gold Cup. This competition is to decide the champion of the CONCACAF Region. CONCACAF is an acronym which stands for The Confederation of North, Central American and Carribean Association Football. The United States Soccer Federation (USSF) is a member of CONCACAF, which in turn is a member of FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association). This is much the same as Lenoir Youth Soccer Association belongs to NCYSA which is governed by the United States Youth Soccer Association.
The Gold Cup is like a mini World Cup. The competition has three groups of four teams. Here is a link to the groups, schedule, and standings.
