Like I said "a nailbiter"!

Although the United States controlled the game, once again we just can't seem to close the deal. Up 2-0 at halftime the US failed to extend their lead. Landon Donovan whiffed on an open net and Eddie Johnson once again has proven he just doesn't have what it takes at the International level. In the 76' minute Canada gets its foot in the door with a nice shot by Hume. Then in the 89' Michael Bradley gets a red card for a professional foul trying to stop another counter. The US goes down a man. Canada continues pressing and 4 minutes and 10 seconds of the announced 4 minutes of stoppage time Canada sends a through ball in and Canada scores. But wait the Center Ref waves it off saying the Canadian was offside! The game ends 2-1, USA advances. Who knows maybe the Costa Rican coach was right, CONCACAF wants a US-MEX final.
Michael Bradley and Frankie Hejduk will not be available for the final Sunday due to cards.
