Tri, Tri again

Well, game day is here and The USA is a slight favorite in the match up at 3:00pm.
Let's face it we have owned Mexico, winning eight of the last eleven games. Even more at home, as we are unbeaten and unscored upon in our last nine meetings on home soil. But the problem with all streaks is that they must end. The longer the streak is the odds of it ending increase exponentially. Just ask Real Salt Lake and DC United. United went to Utah last night holding a hot hand. They were undefeated in their last seven outings, facing a team that hasn't had a win in their last twelve games. Both teams ended their streaks last night with Real winning 2-1. So I would not be surprised if the Nat's streak ended versus Mexico today. Will I be dissapointed? Absolutely, I might not be right for a week or two. As Demarcus Beasley said:
"It's not just a game when we play Mexico. It's more than a game. It's for our fans and our country. If you can't get up for a Mexico game then you shouldn't be playing at this level."
So enjoy the game because no matter what happens it is sure to be intense and full of drama.
